Weslo Momentum 220 X Elliptical Trainer Get it now!
Received in time. Very difficult to assemble. Took me and my husband almost 12 hours to assemble. Some part when you fix one end the other end does not fit!...so we had to disassemble all over and assemble in a sequence not in the manual.
Final part did not fit at all and one part just cracked and we had to order parts..........couldn't believe metal pieces would crack like that...it is low quality.
Not happy with the product at all. Do not recommend this product. Not sturdy enough for its size. Shakes when we use it. I am only 145 lbs...Get more detail about Weslo Momentum 220 X Elliptical Trainer.

I had this professionally assembled. Within 30 days of use started making clanking sound from inside of right wheel assembly. Left pedal gives a squeek all the time. I have requested customer service to attend to this. I hope the issues would be taken care of.

Kettler Kadett Outrigger Style Rower Rowing Machine Order Now
I am 63 years old and last year I was tapped on my shoulder and reminded I was mortal. I decided to start taking care of myself. When I was younger I worked out with weights, but gave that up and gave them away many years ago. I recently purchased some dumbells and did the normal exercises, but it became boring. I knew what ever I did I would have to do for the rest of my life. I started looking at rowing machines. I have learned that you generally get what you pay for. I did not want to get one where mechanical problems got in the way of exercise. Looked at the lower cost machines (I can be cheap), then looked a the Concept 2. I probably would have gotten the Concept 2 except for the length, I settled for the Kettler.
True to the other reviews the Kettler arrived in 5 days and was missing parts in my case the footrests. Kettler USA without any questions sent them with 3 day shipping. It does take 1 1/2 hours to put together, mainly by following pictures, it is not rocket science. The piston adjustment numbers are alittle off, that is not a problem you adjust them so they are equal. The "computer" is in German, that is not a problem unless you believe the world should be in English and you can not remember what 5 digital readouts mean. There are only two things I do not like about the Kettler 1) It assumes you know how to use the rowing machine, it comes with no instructions on rowing form, this is solved by going on the internet and watching some videos on YouTube; second the ear pulse heart monitor with its wire drives me craze, I purchased a Omron HR 100c heart rate monitor from Amazon for about $35 it comes with a handle bar mount that works great. If you are my age I suggest you use a heart rate monitor, it will keep you from over doing it on the machine. You do not want people to say "he died while rowing in his backyard".
What I like about the Kettler 1) it is a solid machine and probably will not wear out so I will not get a chance buy a Concept 2; 2) its fluid rowing motion is low impact on joints something we old folks need; 3) it is relaxing and fun way to excerise; 3) my blood pressure is dropping as is my glucose level and I feel better. I am happy I made the investment.
One last note that maybe helpful to those that have footrest/tiedown problems. I strapped a pair of loose fitting Crocs permanently on foot rests so I would not have to deal with the velcro straps every time I get on the machine. All I need to do now is slip my feet into the Crocs and off I go.
August 11 - Had a part that failed, that can only be blamed on poor quality controls at Kettler. If it was not for the superior customer service in thier parts department this product would loose some shine. The parts department again without question shipped me a replacement part which I received within 7 days. I still consider it a good investment.

Body Rider Fan Bike Decide Now
The price was right. That's about all that was right about this bike. I am short, 5'6" barely and with the seat as high as it goes my knees are still bent when the pedals are fully extended. It reminds me of when I was an older child trying to ride those little pedal cars when I was just too big. The body of the bike sits very low to the ground while the seat is high, making it a little unsteady.I have difficulty getting onto the seat because it is so high yet once on it my knees do not fully extend on the pedals. The construction does not seem very well built. Though all the bolts are tightened, the handles have too much wiggle room don't seem terribly secure. I was looking for a less expensive bike because I bought a Body Flex XFR 1000 which was perfect in terms of seating and balance but it only lasted about 18 months before the fan wheel cracked. Much to my chagrin I realized only after I purcheased this bike that it was made by the same manufacturer. Shame on me for not checking more carefully. Well, it is less expensive than the XFR, much less comfortable and if the XFR which seemed to be built much more solidly than this one, then I am going to guess this one does not last the year. Oh, and the seat is about as uncomfortable as it gets. Nothing to recommend here. Get more detail about Body Rider Fan Bike.
Large Adjustable Pedals for the MagneTrainer Right now
I got this to replace the pedals on my PCGamerBike Rider but once they arrived I realized they weren't much better than the ones that came with the rider. I have big feet and wanted to get something wider and more comfortable. The only plus on these pedals is that the straps are adjustable (the ones that came with my rider aren't) that's why I give this 3 1/2 stars.
The rest of the pedal only varies in Girth and not side to side but top to bottom and a little bit front to back. The width is exactly the same and they are only a about a 1/2" longer front to back. So, they do feel a little bit sturdier but that's it.
If you're really looking for a wider pedal the Schwinn Wide Riders look better. You just have to be careful on the size. The listed sizes are 1/2" or 9/16", this is the Bolt size size. So, I would need the 1/2" size for my rider and I think I'll just use these until I get it.Get more detail about Large Adjustable Pedals for the MagneTrainer.

Low Price Ab Coaster Home
Let me give you a little background. In March 2008 I was weighing about 280 lbs, damaged my lateral meniscus in my right knee from being too heavy, and had to have knee surgery at age 30. Furthermore, I had MRIs done on my back and it was determined that I had damaged/compressed lower discs, an unnatural straightened back (backs are supposed to be curved) and overstressed back muscles trying to compensate for the 54 inch waist. I was in physical therapy for months for my back. After all these health problems at a young age I decided to make a life change to get fit and lose weight and this machine helped me get to that point. My weight loss process has been slow and I started to see the commercials for these machines in the Fall of 2008. I always thought the price was too high, but at this point I was weighing about 243 lbs and still needed to strengthen my weakest part of my body, my stomach muscles which pretty much were never used for anything in my life other than for holding fat. At first I tried to get my YMCA to get the $1500 gym version of the machine, but no luck. So I took the plunge and for Christmas 2008 I decided to buy this since there was no way I could even do one sit-up or crunch because of my lower back.
Well the day I got the Abcoaster Pro was the day I took my fitness routine to the next level. The product is sturdy, durable, and well built. It was easy for an unfit guy like me to do these ab exercises compared to the ones that stress your back and neck. At first I was lucky if I could do even 5 minutes on this machine. Within weeks I noticed a substantial difference in my abdomen as my stomach started to take form. The inches started to come off, slowly mind you, but it was working. I didn't think one of these infomercial products could work, but it did work. Eventually I got stronger and thus I took the plunge and started both spinning/cycling classes and cardio-kickboxing. Then came strength training with weights to boot-camp and now running.
This machine was the starter I needed. I pretty much was just riding the stationary bike, some rowing, some swimming and watching my diet (Weight Watchers) before I bought this. Believe me, for men (and women), I think most of us are self-conscious about our middle region. No matter how much shape we're in, if we have a little belly we feel out of shape, and people do notice the belly that's the society we live in.
Today I'm down to about 183 lbs, 6% body fat,and a healthy BMI. I'm a gym rat and a workout fiend. I think this machine is a good machine if you've ever had trouble doing any type of ab exercises. While I'm doing all kinds of different ab exercises today, I still use this machine routinely twice a week on the cardio-kickboxing class days.
So why did I give it four stars and not five stars?
1. Still a little pricey, but if you really use it, it's worth it.
2. The ab rep counter is cheap and is damaged because it is located right where your sweat will drop on it.
3. The ball-bearings/wheels that the coaster rests on and moves with is starting to wear out from use and I'm not sure how much life this thing will have left and it's not even a year old.
The bottom-line is this, if you need ab help and you have weak abs, then this machine is for you. It won't stress your back or neck and can actually be fun if you set it up in front of the TV with your favorite show on.Get more detail about Ab Coaster Home.

Cheapest Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine with Free Motion Arms
We just assembled our new Stamina 1215 Orbital Rower. It took about an hour and a half. The machine feels pretty sturdy to me. Is it worth $279? Hard to say, but with everything so overpriced these days, who knows? The acid test is usually how long something lasts, so it will be worth the money if it gives several years of good service. I've done my first half hour of rowing and it's a fairly smooth action and relatively quiet. On some sites, a few people complained that the lowest setting is too tough for beginners, and I agree. But you can set the arms even a little lower than the bottom number, and this helps. I've had two rowing machines in the past and this one is as good or better than they were. I like the ability to set the back of the bar up higher which aids in getting off and on the rower. I was concerned about the 'orbital' action of the arms, but find it's easy to adjust to, and in effect, you can just row as normal and not use the orbital ability at all. I'm giving the unit a 5 for now since it seems to meet my expectations. I'll update later on, whether good or bad, once I've had the chance to use it several weeks.
******Update after 2 weeks of use ****
This is the update I promised after using the rower for a couple of weeks. In my first review I asked myself the question, is the rower worth the money. I answered that by saying it depended how it held up over time. Well. The answer to that question is a resounding NO !!! If I could, I'd rate the unit one star for poor quality control, but Amazon's rating system won't let me go back and change it from the original 5 stars. I read the couple of reviews saying the shocks had broken down after a couple of weeks, and the one that slammed the unit for using plastic parts instead of metal, especially at this price. I chose to ignore those concerns in the face of the other positive reviews. It turns out that was a big mistake. After 2 weeks of use, the plastic rod that's used to attach the circular connecting loop on the end of the shock to the frame, snapped off. This piece is extremely important because it has to take the force of pulling back on the shock every time you row. And Stamina chose to make this piece out of cheap plastic instead of metal and it broke after using the rower a total of seven 30 minute sessions. This is totally unacceptable, not just for the inconvenience of having the rower disabled, but also the injuries it could cause if it breaks while you're intensely rowing. Since other people have shocks that broke after only 2 weeks, it's an obvious design flaw based on trying to save a few pennies using plastic instead of metal in a critical area. I also blame myself for not checking on the warranty. It's only 90 days for parts and labor. As you can imagine, because of this design flaw, I fully expect the other shock, or even the new one, to break after enough stress, and if I'm beyond the 90 days, I will have to pay for shocks for this unit. The shock broke on Thursday the 24th. I called Customer Service at 3:30 Central Time (they're supposed to be open until 5 CST). Nobody answered and nobody returned the call that day. The next day they called and took the info and said I would get a replacement shock in 5 to 7 days. So I'll lose a minimum of a week on my exercise program. Today is Sept. 30th, and I don't have the shock yet, so we'll see how long it takes. It's not very comforting to feel these shocks could let go any time during the heat of an intense rowing session causing injury or damage. I've had two other rowing machines over the years, both of which were used for extended periods of time, and the shocks were never an issue. Stamina has to be aware of the problems with these shocks because of the increasing complaints, and should issue a recall on them, and supply all users with new ones that support the connector with metal and not plastic. Until then I would recommend you avoid this rower completely.
****Another Update****
I've just become aware from the Epinions site that another person has had problems with the shocks on the Stamina stepper also, and is frustrated in having to buy replacement shocks after the warranty runs out. In my opinion, this means there is absolutely no question Stamina is aware their shocks don't last. And of course, it's the customer that has to pay additional money, above the purchase price, to keep the unit going. I can honestly say I will never consider buying a Stamina Products piece of equipment again.
****One Last Update****
I got the replacement shock and have had a few rowing sessions since then. But I began noticing the same problem another reviewer had with the rollers. The seat actually started to rumble, and it was because the plastic rollers were breaking down and getting grooved unevenly. The last two sessions were really annoying to say the least. Today the seat jammed up in mid-row and I couldn't continue. One of the back rollers has a deep, uneven groove in it, and won't stay in place. The other back roller is also getting grooved. I called to get replacement rollers, but now I'll lose another week of rowing while I wait. By the time I get the rollers, I will have had the rower 6 weeks, and will have lost two weeks to breakdowns. So if you're thinking of getting this rower (I hope not), you may have to plan on only using it 2/3 of the time, unless you build an inventory of spare parts. This has not proven to be a well made machine, as this is the second plastic part to break down in just a few weeks. I won't update my review any more. I think you can tell how I feel about this machine.

Buying Spinning Pedal Power Strength Energy Zone DVD
I started out participating in spinning classes and this spinning video is much more like a true spinning class. The lighting is always dimmed in spinning classes as in this video and music is played in the background. Mike Michels is very down-to-earth and he does a great job coaching the spinning riders into a demanding ride that benefits everyone. He is excellent at coaching the riders and reminds everyone to go at their own pace.
I highly recommend this spinning DVD for everyone.Get more detail about Spinning Pedal Power Strength Energy Zone DVD.
Buy Body-Solid GAB60 Adjustable Ab Board
Confirmed for myself what previous 6 reviews said.
FREE Super Saver Shipping delivery only took 5 business days.
Assembly was straight forward and quick ~20-30 mins.
Simple but smart design. It's stable, secure and comfortable to use.
Pros:
1. Incline adjustment mechanism requires minimum effort to adjust the board angle.
2. The knee and ankle rollers are positioned at the right distance to keep your legs motionless but comfortable.
3. The DuraFirm extra thick padding feels soft and smooth, even the rollers are covered with same material.
4. My favorite feature is the 12 positions for increased or decreased difficulty, at the sharpest angle it almost feels like you are hanging upside down.
5. The two small wheels on the front is a nice touch - you can roll this thing around from room to room like a vacuum cleaner.
Cons: NONE!

Sole S77 Treadmill Best Quality
I recieved this item about a week ago and have used it 3 times since then.
Good:
Easy to assemble- although it's definitely a 2 person assembly & move job.
Programs and functions are easy to use once you've navigated a couple of times.
IPOD jack eliminates ear phones.
Feels very solid when running or walking at a fast pace.
Bad:
Not easy to move- especially on carpet.
Incline could be steeper- but I like walking on hills.
It's a little bit loud- but then I've got nothing to compare it to.Get more detail about Sole S77 Treadmill.

Best Fitness BFMG10 Sportsman Gym 10 Get it now!
I ordered this item primarily because of the reasonable price. It was a full week before the seller shipped the item. Add another five days for delivery, plus a whole day for assembly, and it was essentially two weeks from the time I placed my order to the day I was able to use the machine.
The instructions for assemble are poor. For example, diagrams are printed on pages that precede the steps, so they're not helpful. Also, the text refers to certain types of screws by numbers, but there's nothing on the screws or packaging that links them to the numbering system. You essentially have to fill in a lot of blanks to put this together.
The machine itself is pretty nice. I like how it looks and works.
The major problem for me is that NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE ARE INCLUDED. The product description in this ad lists 19 exercises. I can only figure out to do six or seven. A specific example: the product description lists ab crunch as an available exercise. I don't know how this would be done on this machine without some kind of a strap that links the body to the machine while you bend forward to make the crunch. The seller's web site does include some instructions for exercises, but they are generic and include material that doesn't apply to this model (for example, the strap that would enable the ab crunch).
I e-mailed the seller's customer service group and received only curt unhelpful responses, but I did learn from them that there in fact NO INSTRUCTION BOOKLET AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL. This surprises me, as I would think any vendor of exercise equipment would really want to "CYA" legally, since misuse of the equipment could result in injury. I asked again if the service agent could just describe to me how to do the ab crunch, and at that point I stopped receiving replies.
If you are a really experienced body builder and good at assembling machinery, this model might be an OK option for you, but if you are really experienced you are probably not going to buy this very simple machine. Get more detail about Best Fitness BFMG10 Sportsman Gym 10.

I purchased the treadclimber because of knee problems and had to stop running on my treadmill. I really like it and wish I had gotten it a long time ago. I didn't know until we put it together that you can use it in treadclimber mode or as a treadmill or as a stairstepper. My only complaint is the directions to assemble are about the worst of anything I've ever bought. And other than being over priced, I am happy with it. Concept2 Model E Indoor Rowing Machine Order Now
I have owned two Concept 2 rowers, the Model C and now the Model E. I donated the Model C to my parents when I "ascended" up to the Model E. Without doubt, Concept 2 has produced the world's best rower. It's built to last a lifetime of private use. And if parts are ever an issue, Concept 2 still has parts (quite cheap) for all their rowers, even the Model A! If you seriously plan to row for exercise or sport, the Model E (or any model, for that matter) will be your best investment.Get more detail about Concept2 Model E Indoor Rowing Machine.
Bowflex TC3000 Treadclimber Decide Now
I was surprised that the TC3000 is actually a tread climber, tread mill and a stepper! I had not read that in the material provided in the brief description. In fact, the combination of the three gives a terrific workout even for someone who has not stepped on a machine in a long time. After two weeks my knees and feet don't hurt as much and I am starting to see results. Combined with a good diet and other strengthening exercises, this is the ONE workout that works. Lowest Price Spirit XR425 Recumbent Exercise Bike Trainer
I purchased this bike only because my bad ankles necessitated that I give up the impact of the treadmill I have used regularly for many years. None of the other product reviews discussed the bicycle's quality, solidity or dependability, which were my main concerns as I must exercise daily or die.
Assembly was easy and took me approx 3 hours including unpacking. But I'm almost 80 and not very fast anymore. The parts were individually packaged and cross-referenced to each step in the printed instructions. The components all seem to be well made and fit nicely together. The feel of the unit in motion is smooth, quiet and solid. I've had it for only one week so can't comment on durability but am encouraged by what seems to be good quality construction.
The electronic programs were of no interest to me as I use the bike only in manual mode. The only gizmo of interest to me was the pulse readout display. It doesn't work. The readings bounce around wildly with hands on or off the grip's sensor. I would otherwise have given the unit a 5-star rating.Get more detail about Spirit XR425 Recumbent Exercise Bike Trainer.
Low Price Spinner® Velo Bike
I have been spinning at the gym for years and due to work I wasn't able to get to the gym as often and really missed being able to spin. I chose this bike because it seemed to be most like the models at the gym that I was familiar with, plus it has the 43 pound fly-wheel which is what most gym models have. I received the bike in about a week. It took about 20 minutes to get the bike set up. Assembly was easy. Because of the weight of the bike the most difficult part was screwing on the front and back platforms but I was able to do this by myself easily. The directions provided in the box weren't actually for the "velo" model, but I figured it out as there really isn't much to do. All parts and tools are provided. I opted to use my own spd pedals instead of the pedals provided with the bike. I was a little concerned with the seat being too soft, but it provides good support without being squishy. The feel of the bike is almost identical to the bikes at the gym. It is easy to adjust to the right size. If you aren't familiar with how to fit a bike to your body there are instructions in the materials provided. I've worked out on the bike twice since receiving it and I can't tell the difference between this bike and those at the gym. Great ride, easy to adjust resistance. As per most spin bikes, this model has wheels on the front platform that allow you to tip the bike forward onto the wheels and move it. This is a great plus because the bike weighs a lot (120 pounds) and it allows you to easily move the bike out of the way when you are done using it. It also doesn't take up a lot of space, so that's another nice feature.
This bike was supposed to come with four DVD's, but they were not in the package when I received my order. I called Amazon and they told me I needed to call Star Trac directly since they actually package and ship the bike. Once I got through to the right person at Star Trac they told me the DVD's were out of stock, but they promised to mail them to me in a couple weeks when they get in the next shipment. I'm not sure if they would have sent them if I hadn't called though, so if you don't receive them be sure to follow up.
I was also very pleased with the shipping company. Ceva provided online tracking and even sent me a text message to let me know when the package was out for delivery. Ceva called me directly to set up a delivery appointment (very polite and professional). They gave me a four hour window (between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.)the next day, but I didn't have to wait the whole time. The delivery arrived at 9:10 a.m. The delivery men carried it into my condo at my request and were very polite.
Probably the only thing that was not as expected is that the water bottle cage is not on the down tube as it is shown in the photo. Instead it is on the right front fork. I wasn't thrilled about this as I would prefer to have it on the down tube, but after using the bike a couple of times I don't really mind it. This might be a problem if you are a lefty.
This was a big purchase for me. I did a lot of research and comparing and this one seemed to be the best model for the best price. I don't regret the purchase and would recommend this bike to anyone considering purchasing a velo model.

Save Esprit by Spirit EL-5 Elliptical Trainer
Recently purchased the Spirit EL 5 through Amazon.com
Over all I am pleased with the commercial quality of the product.
After some research,I discovered,Dyaco manufactures and distributes this equipment through Espirit and Sole. Sole is exclusively sold through Dick's sporting goods.
You can save a litte money buying on line in addtion to no taxes and/or no shipping and set up fees.
The EL 5 is a 2008 version, and comparisons between Sole and Espirit equipment need to be considered by year model. Newer 2009 models come with a cooling fan built in to the display console, along with incline capabilities. 2009 Models differ by Manaul incline or auto control incline.
The assembly manual shipped with equipment lacks illustrations, but did not find so complicated and should take under 2.5 hours conservatively. ( from unboxing to finish set up#
The assembly packaging is missing one screw, but not a big deal to find another screw at your nearest hardware store. Also preffered using my own tools vs. tools shipped with packaging for assembly.
The EL 5 does come with two front rollers and moves around like a wheel barrel. Not difficult to move around on a hard surface, but unrealistic to move around frequently. As this unit is heavy, More suited to a permanent location for my needs.
The Espirit EL 5 is quiet and smooth, and should provide the durability I was looking to get out this unit. This unit would compare easily with units used in fitness centers.

Discount Nautilus T514 Treadmill
To start, I echo another reviewer in saying that my treadmill was received in bad shape as the base frame and wheels had burst completely through the bottom of the cardboard box. I also discovered evidence of discoloration on the plastic side panels that are attached to the control panel. My best guess is it was subjected to a lot of weight being stacked on it as it traveled first by airline and then delivered by semi truck via a freight company. There was no use blaming either company as they would just deny everything but considering two of three reviewers report delivery problems, this suggests Nautilus may have a problem with their packaging. (My money's on the airline trashing it). Fortunately, aside from some scuffs and a little pressure discoloration on the side panels, the treadmill seems okay.
Assembly is quite easy but because the product is heavy you will likely need assistance. You simply lift the pre-assembled control panel straight up and screw in a nut and bolt on each side with the provided hardware. After that, bend the handlegrips toward you and screw them in. Finally, attach the two side panels to each side of the control panel and you're ready to go. I found the left side was easy to screw everything into while the right side of the machine I wasn't able to screw in the parts without a lot of exertion. I most likely stripped some threads to get the screws tightened in so I wonder if there may be some quality issues in the manufacturing process. Perhaps it was the first day on the job for one of the people drilling holes in the frame. I also found that the wheels didn't roll but that may have been due to the delivery problems.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before assembly be sure you place the box in the room you ultimately wish to use your treadmill in. Even when folded up, the machine is 32 inches wide; larger than many doorways.
This treadmill is my first but I have used many others at membership gyms and at friends' houses. Comparing this treadmill to others, the first thing that comes to mind is, at a whopping 72 inches in length with 54 inches of space to walk or run on, this treadmill is much longer than the residential treadmills I usually see. The second thing I noticed was I was scared to death of pulling this 200+ lb machine around with the bed tilted up. I later figured out they have a tiny shock absorber to help slow things down when you're bringing the treadmill bed back down to the floor. Even with the shock absorber, don't let go of the bed as it's dropping as it will still hit the floor with a loud thunk (and may even put a hole in it.) I wish there was a way to put a pin between the bed and base for added safety while moving it. If you wish to store the machine you will need a space that is 37"L x 32"W x 66"H.
I knocked off a star because Nautilus gives you only five feet of electric cord for a three foot wide machine. The plug is located almost on the right edge of the machine, meaning if your electric plugs are located to the left, you must place the treadmill within two feet of the electric plug. To make matters worse, the instructions specifically say you can't use an extension cord or surge protector. Nautilus needs to give residential customers a longer cord. I also found it odd that we have to go to the front of the machine, to a spot next to where the electric cord plugs in, to turn the machine on and off. There is no power button on the control panel and it doesn't appear to shut down during inactivity. Both of those should be fixed to make the treadmill more energy efficient. I was also upset to read that Nautilus wants us to lubricate the machine with 100% silicone lubricant before use. If this is as important as the instruction book indicates, then a small amount should be provided as most households don't have this lying around (WD-40 isn't an acceptable substitute). In fact, the only thing I could find at a large hardware chain was a can of Dupont Teflon/Silicone lubricant. Fortunately, a call to Nautilus confirmed this was okay to use. I still needed some direction on how much to use as the instructions were sparse. According to customer service at Nautilus, we should spray a line across the underside of the belt, roll the belt halfway around manually, then do it again. Until Nautilus starts providing lubricant with this treadmill, I suggest including LifeSpan Fitness 100% Silicone Treadmill Belt Lubricant in your order.
In comparison to other treadmills, there is none of the belt slippage as you run or walk in forward motion. In fact, this is the only treadmill I have used that doesn't have this annoying problem. The motor is quite powerful and fast too. The display shows you the time you have been running, the distance (in km or mph) you ran, and the estimated calories you have burned (always so little!) My favorite display flips between the mph you are running and how long it will take you to run a full mile. Unless you can run a mile in less than five minutes I see little reason to upgrade to the more expensive T516. This bed is rated to support 350 lbs of weight, and given the strength of the frame I think the number is conservative, so it should be able to hold everyone except South Carolinians. I found the walking belt to be centered perfectly but you can adjust the tension or move the belt to the left or right using an included hex key. I did find a problem with the plastic rails on each side of the bed. Nautilus wants us to stand on these when we start the treadmill, however I notice noise coming from them as if they are scraping the belt or bed. The noise stops once we move from the rails on to the walking belt itself.
Workouts consist of either manual or pre-programmed workout modes (i.e. climbing a hill, fast and slow intervals, a heart rate control program, or a custom value for time, speed, and incline that you can program yourself.) The T516 model gives you an extra of each of these programs (three instead of two.) The program features are all nice, but frankly I enjoy the manual mode the best because we have the incline level adjustment (0-12 degrees) using an up/down switch on the left handlebar and the speed control (0-12mph) using a switch on the right handlebar. The grips also include a metal heart rate monitor but I'm knocking off a star because I didn't find these to be very accurate; either that or my heart rate instantly jumps from 85 to 120 then back again. I think it's important people know their heart-rate accurately or they could easily over-exert themselves on a treadmill this powerful. The Polar brand chest strap heart rate monitor seems accurate and it works as long as you wet the electrodes first and strap it to your bare skin. Because of the yuck factor of the entire family using, and sweating on one Polar monitor, it could be a nice feature to include one or two more to make the treadmill more family friendly.
Customer service at Nautilus was very responsive and Courtney in particular was very friendly in spite of being bombarded with my questions. The so-called 10 year warranty is a little disingenuous because items defined as wear items (grips, foam, rubber, and plastic parts) have only a 90-day warranty and the belt has only a year warranty. In my opinion, anyone dropping this kind of money on a treadmill should have at least a one year on everything. Still, even the sweatiest of South Carolinians shouldn't be able to wear through the foam handlegrips. Maybe.
As I was reviewing everything, I couldn't help but think that this was a gymnasium strength treadmill that Nautilus suddenly decided to offer to residents without taking into consideration the special needs residential users have. Considering Nautilus also owns the famous Bowflex home gyms it seems odd that they haven't thought things through a little more. I'd like to give them high marks for the machine's strength, steel frame, and overall toughness but the little things like the power cord, the side rails, the metal heart rate monitors, and the disingenuous warranty make me hesitate a little. Above all, the treadmill packaging must be upgraded so it's idiot proof or Nautilus will be fielding a lot of calls from upset customers. I give them a solid three stars.
Hope the review helped.Get more detail about Nautilus T514 Treadmill.
Cheapest Lifecore LC-800RB Recumbent Exercise Bike
I was some what afraid to buy this because there had only been two reviews so far and I had previously been planning to buy a Schwinn which was much cheaper and there were over 200 reviews. Having said that, at a store's recommendation, I bought this recumbent two weeks ago. I can find nothing but good things about it.
The assembly instructions were clear and made sense. I didn't time how long it took to put togther, but it really went together easily.
I have ridden it every other day since I bought it. The seat is comfortable and very easy to adjust. Since my wife also rides it, the seat needs adjusted each time either of us ride it. The adjustment is much simpler than the Schwinn model. The bike has a lever that is pulled up on while sitting in the seat to make the adjustment. No counting holes or whatever. At the spot the handle is released, the seat is locked into place
The computer is easy to read, and is simple to change levels and program.
If I wanted to complain about something, I guess it would be that the computer only runs on batteries and I am uncertain how long the batteries will last.
Should any problems develop past two weeks, I'll update this review but so far it is money very well spent.Get more detail about Lifecore LC-800RB Recumbent Exercise Bike.
Cheap TKO Doorway Sit Up Bar
I bought this bar because I saw a review that said that you could use it as a pull-up bar as well...that was not the case. The clamp is sturdy but the piece that extends to the footrests is not. Also, you don't need to buy something special to do situps. Just put your feet under a couch if you need the support - for free! I returned it the day I got it.Get more detail about TKO Doorway Sit Up Bar.

Purchase Kettler Favorit Rowing Machine
I'm no athlete but I needed to get in shape. When I heard that Gerard Butler used rowing as one way to get in shape for 300, I decided to check it out. I'd really enjoyed rowing when I was younger. I did lots of research before I decided on the Kettler. The package was in okay shape and a friend of mine who is technically savvy set it up in a little more than an hour. It takes a little while for the oars to loosen up but once they do, rowing is a breeze! As someone else said it's very meditative and requires more concentration than my elliptical machine which I bought from Nordic Track - not a good piece of equipment - has always wobbled. This, on the other hand, is rock solid. You definately can feel that this type of exercise is a good work-out! Plan to make it part of my regular routine. Another plus - I have Chronic Fatigue so it's easy to pace myself so I don't get post exercise collapse. If you are looking for a good rowing machine (and don't mind spending a bit more), this is it! Blackburn Trakstand Fluid Indoor Bicycle Trainer
For a fluid trainer, this one is noisy. I took it to an indoor class, and it was embarrassing how much noise it was putting out. That paired with the fact that above 100 cadence the whole thing starts to vibrate makes this an item I just can't keep.Get more detail about Blackburn Trakstand Fluid Indoor Bicycle Trainer.

Stamina InStride Plus Electronic Stepper Top Quality
This stepper worked fine for the first couple of weeks. It became very noisy, the cable broke and it no longer worked. I emailed the manufacturer who sent me a replacement cable. The new cable lasted 1 month. I am waiting to hear back whether they will send another replacement cable. I would never buy a stepper from this company again.

Powerline PCH24X Roman Chair Back Hyperextension Best Quality
I'm a personal trainer with my own fitness studio. I purchased this even though many of my clients can't use it due to back issues - so, for occasional use, it will do fine. It wouldn't last a week in a commercial gym - but for home use, it should do what it's supposed to do for years.
It comes with no instructions on use OR assembly, but the assembly is straight forward using the basic tools you probably have.
A word of caution. If you have existing lower-back issues (diagnosed or not), do hyperextensions with great care!Get more detail about Powerline PCH24X Roman Chair Back Hyperextension.

Bowflex TC1000 TreadClimber (Refurbished) Buy Now
There is way to much hype about these machines. You could get a better treadmill at walmart for $1000 less! The console is below par (speed, time and distance... with no back light)and the machine is tiny. If you plan on watching TV or doing anything besides looking at your feet on this machine... you're in for a surprise!
This machine also comes in a TON of pieces!
For the same price you could get a treadmill with a bigger motor, longer running surface, MOTORIZED incline, and a built in TV (which isn't necessary... but it goes to show that bowflex spends more money on advertising then they do on their machines) Get more detail about Bowflex TC1000 TreadClimber (Refurbished).

Weslo Pursuit E25 Total Body Bike Right now
I've had mine for a couple of weeks now, here is the specifications some of you are looking for.
1. THE SEAT; Some mentioned it was unconfortable--I didn't notice but here is why and my advice on how to deal with it. If you take both your hands and put your thumb tips together, then your two middle fingers together to form something like a diamond shape--then seperate them about two inches.....and you have the size of the seat. My opinion is--don't lean forward much. Futher, I've got a pillow and half a roll of duck tape to deal with that problem if it ever arrives. (I don'tknow why the industry keeps putting bicycle seats on these exercise machines when everybody knows a motorcycle seat is better.
2. THE RESISTANCE KNOB; Yeal, that knob isn't the best design. If you look up at the top of the page and see the picture, you'll notice the front wheel. Well, a canvas strap wraps around that wheel. When you want more resistance, you turn the knob and it tightenes up the strap. This way you get more resistance. One of the problems here, the difference between no resistance and total resistance is that strap being tightened up about one half inch. I tried mine, it does work, but not as well as I would have liked it to. Fortunately, you can reach through the handlebars and take hold of the straps' end (just above the front wheel) and either loosen or tighten it. Don't ask me how long that canvas strap will work before friction wears through it. For those of you who've been around, the strap is a lot like the military straps on your 'web' gear where you tighten and loosen things up. It is also similair to the straps on a 'field pack'. The bottom of this strap has some sort of felt-like material under it. This strap wraps around a 'slick' piece of plastic. This plastic allows the strap to slide around the wheel without heat build up. It feels less slick than 'soapstone'. I figure it will last a year. I have other straps on my field pack. If this strap ever breaks...I'll sew it to one of them.
3. PEDALS. Plastic, wider and longer than on my mountain bike...here's the measurements.
Mountain bike: Four inchs wide (wider than my foot) three inches long.
Exercise bike: Four/one half inches wide...three/one half inches long.
Remember the last time you rode a bike and the middle of your foot was a little sore?......I don't think this will be a problem.
4. FOAM HAND GRIPS; They remind me of pipe wrap. A hollow tube of foam that you pull over the white handle bars. I tried to just pull mine on and tore a 'thumbnail' size piece out of one. Then, I took my can of WD-40--sprayed both handlebars-- and 'wringed' the hand grips on. Wringed?...like wringing a wash cloth--twist forward with the right hand, twist backwards with the left while all the time scooting it across the handle bar. The only real trouble I had getting them on was stretching the hollow foam tube open enough to get it started on the handle bar.
5. CHAIN: I've hand no trouble with the chain yet.
six. FRONT WHEEL; Front wheel is made of plastic.
7. CHAIn GUARD; If you look up at the picture you'll see a black material covering the 'chain' area--I guess to keep your fingers and toes away from it. It is on both sides of the bike and is made of fairly strong plastic--I didn't take it apart.
8. TIME TO CONSTRUCT: It took me about an hour to put this machine together.
9. WOBBLE: Mine sits on a short nape wall to wall carpet with padding under the carpet. Sitting on it, and tilting to either side I get little more than one inch of wobble in either direction--nice and sturdy.
10. CONSTRUCTION; Nice and solid. A man once mentioned to me '...the front bumper on your car is twenty gage steel...' The metal supports in this machine appear to be the same thickness. Very solid construction for all supports. In the construction instructions it said '...supports up to 250 pounds...' I have to agree--I doubt any of us will break one of these supports in our life time.
11. HEIGHT OF SEAT; With my seat at the lowest position, it measures out to 31 inches high. I read all the other reviews. Some mentioned it was hard for short people to get on. I'm just over five and half feet tall--I have no problem at all. Those of you who are shorter might consider pulling the seat out (steel rod attached) and cut the bottom three inches off of the hollow steel rod. You'll have to leave screw/pin adjustment knob off unless you want to re-drill your hole. (I'm going to put a captain's 'seat' on mine so I can swivel it around and work on my computer--so I don't have a problem with tossing that 'screw/pin' away.
12. ELECTRONICS; I didn't mount mine to the bike--I have no use for such things as distance, calories burned...yak, yak, yak.
All in all, very sturdy construction in all the 'key' places. That resistance strap may or may not be a problem in the future with it breaking--but I know a work-around. I don't think you'll find its' equal on the internet for the same price anywhere. I got mine at one hundred and nineteen dollars--I noticed other web sites were charging two hundred dollars for the same product....this is probably some 'introductory' price.
If you are poor or cheap (like me) you might consider Weslo Pursuit E25.
bye!Get more detail about Weslo Pursuit E25 Total Body Bike.

Lowest Price Stamina Conversion II Recumbent Bike / Rower
Easily assembled. A little longer than I expected but I found the room.
Nice and quiet which I really like.
Easily changes over from bike to rowing machine
Like the readout too - large enough to read easily
Only drawback was my heart rate monitor chest belt doesn't work with the machine. I have to still wear my watch when I work out...otherwise it's a great deal and a great price. No shipping charges which really really helped.

Discount Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II Exercise Bike
I am very pleased with this spinning bike. I have been spinning at my local YMCA for 4 years and decided a bike for home would be great because my schedule was conflicting with class times at the gym on occasion. This bike is sturdy, smooth and comfortable. The assembly took about 30 minutes. This is a great bike for the money. My only complaint is that the tension knob is too close to the frame. It's not a problem just not quite as easy as the ones I am used to. All in all, a great purchase.Get more detail about Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II Exercise Bike.
