My rat terrier has too much energy and just loves to run along side the bike. I was just holding the leash in my hand but decided to give one of the available bicycle post attachments a try. Looked at three different models and decided on the Let's Go pet walker. The walker is easy to attach to the bike post and has a screw-on hub for attaching the arm that holds the leash. My biggest complaint with the device is that it is designed for the dog to be on the right hand side only and I prefer to have the dog on the left side of the bike. This poses the problem of unscrewing the walking arm from the hub. I modified the hub attachment to prevent it from unscrewing which of course defeats the easy on easy off for when I want to ride the bike without the dog.
