What a help the reviews on this treadmill have been! My husband and I are both very happy with it. It is in fact quiet enough to watch TV or listen to the radio without irritation, and smooth enough to allow reading a book without strain. It feels solid and secure. The grip areas allow users of different heights to be comfortable. The programs are fine, and function smoothly. I particularly like the ability to walk both uphill and downhill.
